Woodstock Women's Cycling Grand Prix 2015
The Woodstock Women’s Cycle Grand Prix, one of the only women’s specific bike races in the country, will take place Saturday morning and travel an arduous course through Woodstock, Saugerties and Phoenicia.
The over 100 women signed up for this event will race one of two courses the Pro/1/2/3, 60 mile race or Cat 3/4, Masters invited 32 mile race. Two of the notable aspects of the WWCGP are the views and the elevation gains. Ohayo Mountain has 404 feet of elevation gain in 1.02 miles, and is known as the 7 (sisters) switchbacks. |

2014 racer Cassie Maximenko said in her Facebook comments “Great, challenging and beautiful course! Nice to have some post-race food, friendly volunteers, post-race massage and best prizes of any race I've done”.
After the races are all over there will be a BBQ, according to race director Martin Bruhn.
Bruhn, a former professional rider, has been putting on the WWCGP for three years, with a lot of help from a lot of friends and fellow believers in women’s cycling.
The basic concept is that women deserve a venue of their own to shine.
And shine they will, throughout the Catskills on Saturday morning.
Good luck to all the riders!
