Rock the Ridge 2015
A beautiful morning dawned on Rock the Ridge 2015.
The 202 runners and walkers and 22 relay teams lined up at the Gatehouse for a sun-filled day on the ridge.
For some, like Ben Nephew and Tommy Pyon, top two male finishers, it was a bit shorter day.
Other got to enjoy an entire day on the scenic Mohonk Preserve. Hikers Steve Greenstein and Constance Carpenter spent just under 20 hours hiking carriage roads.
Nephew set a new personal record and fastest known time for the 50 mile carriage road course at 5:56:16. Pyon came in about half an hour behind at 6:29:13. The top female finisher was Laura Coogan at 7:13:49.

The race raised $140,000 96 percent of the goal. The money will be used to introduce children living in underserved areas to the wonders of nature.
Many thanks to all the volunteers who made this event possible.
