REEL Rocks Film Festival

November 15, the REEL Rock Film Festival swings by the Rosendale Theater at the edge of the Gunks. Get ready for climbing’s greatest stories, stars, and sends. In it's 12 year, REEL Rock premieres four new short films that will deliver heart-thumping action, big laughs, and pure inspiration. Featuring Margo Hayes, the first woman to climb 5.15; Brad Gobright, an up-and-coming free soloist with a donut addiction; the return of Chris Sharma to the deep water soloing stage, and Maureen Beck-she is not here to be your inspiration.
Founded in 2006 by Josh Lowell(Big UP Productions) and Peter Motimer(Sender Flims), the festival travels across the world. In it's local stop the fest will be helping to raise money for the Gunks Climber's Coalition(GCC). The GCC is a volunteer run, advocacy organization working for sustainable climbing in the Gunks and seek to balance expansion of climbing opportunities with respect for the unique ecosystems of the ridge. Films start at 7:00 arrive early it's sure to be packed.
