Nordic Ski Race at Minnewaska
“It was awful. Awfully Great,” one finisher exclaimed breathlessly.
The inaugural Nordic ski race at Minnewaska Saturday morning had total of 37 racers from a combination of skate and classic ski. Most racers, 26, did two loops of the 2.4-mile course and eleven did 1 loop for 330 feet of elevation gain.
The sun shone so brightly it was hard to see at times but the skies were blue and the conditions were great.
