Slalom and Giant Slalom at Windham with Special Olympics

The Catskill Mountain Series, the Special Olympics, and the Adaptive Sports Foundation at Windham Mountain, combined on Saturday, January 7th to create a first-time snowboarding event in the region.
While there have been physically challenged riders in the Special Olympics for the first time on Saturday there was a cognitive category as well.

The Slalom event had 28 competitors and the Giant Slalom had 27.
The first Slopestyle event on Sunday the 8th had 38 competitors from NY, NJ, and Conn ranging in ages from 8-10 year old Grommets to Freeski Open Class Men Donnie Fahringer.
Judges for the slopestyle event were Matt Vitolo, Head Judge, Kevin McCoy, and Dominick Didomenico.
